Last updated: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from cheapcarts.com (the "Site").
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we also collect information about the pages or products you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this as "Device Information."
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- Cookies are data files placed on your device that often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- Log files track actions on the Site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps.
- Web beacons, tags, and pixels are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
When you make or attempt to make a purchase, we collect your name, business name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment information. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment processor's secure form and are transmitted to that processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. If you apply for a wholesale account, we may also collect your resale certificate, sales tax registration, or business license information. We refer to all of this as "Order Information."
In this Privacy Policy, "Personal Information" means both Device Information and Order Information.
How we use your personal information
We use Order Information to fulfill orders placed through the Site, including processing payment, arranging shipping, and providing invoices and order confirmations. We also use it to:
- Communicate with you about your orders and account
- Screen orders for potential risk or fraud
- Verify wholesale eligibility and tax-exempt status
- Provide you with information or advertising about our products, when that matches the preferences you have shared with us
We use Device Information to help screen for risk and fraud (in particular your IP address) and to improve and optimize the Site, for example by generating analytics about how customers browse and interact with it.
Sharing your personal information
We share Personal Information with service providers who help us operate our business:
- Hosting and site delivery. Our site runs on WordPress with WooCommerce, hosted by Rocket.net, and is delivered through a content delivery network that provides caching and security filtering.
- Payment processing. Card payments are processed by Authorize.net, a Visa solution. You can read about their privacy practices at https://www.authorize.net/about-us/privacy.html.
- Shipping and fulfillment. We share names, addresses, and contact details with our shipping software and carriers, including USPS and UPS, so your order can be delivered.
- Email. We use a transactional email service to send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and account messages, and may use an email marketing platform if you have opted in.
- Analytics. We use our own cookie-free analytics that counts visits anonymously and stores no IP addresses. We also set one first-party cookie, cc_journey, for up to 365 days to remember how you first and most recently found us (for example a search engine, link or email) so we can see which sources lead to orders; it is never shared with third parties, and you can turn it off by visiting any page with ?cc_track=off added to the address. We use Google Analytics to understand how customers use the Site. You can read how Google uses your information at https://policies.google.com/privacy and opt out at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Tax and accounting. We may share transaction records with tax calculation services and our accountants as required to meet our tax obligations.
We may also share Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information, or to otherwise protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
